Why a neuroradiology review
— not just any radiology review
Neuroradiology is the most demanding field in radiology. The brain, spine, skull base and neck pack more critical structures into less space than anywhere else in the body. These are the scans behind medicine’s biggest decisions: surgery or monitoring, treatment or reassurance.
Years of training on one field only. A neuroradiologist completes full radiology training, then years of additional subspecialty training in neuroimaging alone — and then reads brain, head, neck and spine scans every working day, thousands of studies a year. Nothing else. That’s what it takes to tell a demyelinating lesion from normal ageing, a tumour from a benign finding — and to say with confidence when a finding is harmless.
The standard at leading hospitals. University hospitals route brain and spine cases to dedicated neuroradiology departments. Your second opinion should meet the same standard.
Why patients with MS or suspected MS seek an independent review

- The report came back with findings you do not fully understand, and your next appointment is weeks away.
- You have been told there are new lesions or changes, but no one has explained what that means for you.
- You want to walk into a treatment conversation knowing exactly what your scan shows.
- You have had conflicting information and want an independent read before decisions are made with your treating team.
An independent radiology second opinion lets you request your own specialist review, without a referral and without a long wait. You own your imaging, and you can have it reviewed by a specialist.

What Patients Say About Our Expert Standards
Read testimonials from patients who turned to our senior specialists to resolve conflicting opinions and gain a peace of mind regarding their MRI and CT results.
My neurologist told me there were changes on my MRI that needed monitoring. That phrase sat with me for weeks. Not knowing what I was looking at, and waiting for the next appointment, was genuinely difficult
Helena, 58
I submitted my scan to Radiology Prime and had a detailed specialist report back within 24 hours. It was thorough, clearly written, and specific to my imaging. It helped me understand the findings properly and gave me the right questions to take into my next consultation. I walked in prepared for the first time.
That made more difference than I expected.

Frequently asked questions
A second-opinion radiology report is an additional informational input, not a diagnostic decision in itself. Our Clinical Lead applies McDonald criteria and MAGNIMS protocols to your brain and spinal MRI and provides an independent structured opinion on lesion distribution, activity, and differential considerations. The final diagnostic decision, including any revision to an MS diagnosis, rests with your neurologist, who integrates imaging with clinical examination, CSF analysis, antibody testing, and disease course. The report is designed to support that discussion with your treating team.
Yes — the report is intended to be shared with your neurologist. It is structured for peer-to-peer clinical use, with specific framework citations (McDonald, MAGNIMS) and cross-referenceable findings, alongside a plain-language summary for patients. The radiology report is personally signed by our Clinical Lead under her full name and credentials, as any hospital-generated radiology report would be. We encourage you to share it directly with your neurology team.

You receive a detailed review of your MRI or CT scan prepared by experienced European radiologists.
